Chemo Always Wins
Since today is Rene's seventh day in the hospital, her body is beginning to show signs of her latest chemo treatment. She is reluctantly acknowledging that she is feeling very weak today and wished that it would not occur. Her oncologist stated that she will receive a red blood transfusion tomorrow and we all know what that means!
Even though the signs are there, she has been handling this round much better than any previous time. Today she requested that I bring her a Klondike Heath Bar to go with her lunch. To protect myself, I also brought a chocolate drum stick also so she could have that later. Her nurses are enjoying this very much and I should be getting their orders before Rene gets out!
Overall I feel she will weather this round better than the others, however since I am just her husband my opinion doesn't matter. She isn't surprised by her condition, she is just bored and would rather be at home than at the hospital. It is great that she is so bored because it show a different point in her treatment that she normally doesn't exhibit. She will be emotional at times and this should not be a surprise to her or anyone else.
