No Control

Rene continues to wait for her body to produce more white blood cells to improve her immune system. Right now she another patient that she befriended are in race about their white blood counts. They are not sure how will get to the safe levels first. Secretly, I believe Rene wants to lose because the other patient has been in the hospital for six weeks already.

Pals

Rene is getting more experience with her Scrabble since she has a pal on the floor. This is good because it breaks the boredom. Since Rene has experienced the "chemo brian" already, she is helping her friend get through theirs with the games they play.

Meals

The taste of salmon was nearly destroyed by the hospital's attempt to offer it on their menu. I surprised her yesterday by bringing a fresh cut that was glazed with miso and no one was allowed near it once I placed it in front of her.
