Nadir Means Ambush

Still Lurking Around

In less than 24 hours, Rene's conditioned bottomed out on her with her nausea going into overdrive first. She has been battling this for the past few days anyway. She was feeling weak and today we discovered that her blood counts were at the bottom end. When you have trouble getting out a chair after sitting down, you know you are weak. So starting today, she is back to getting shots to help her blood reproduce and receiving transfusions again. She is accepting of this situation and still not happy that it is occurring but she cannot change this.

Laying Low

Today Rene is sleeping due to the pre-medicines she was given before receiving her transfusions. The nausea is going up and down on her and she is just dealing with it. In all of this, her kidneys are taking a beating from the chemo. There is no risk at this point with her kidneys because this is a known impact from the treatment and she is responding properly. She is beginning to retain fluids in her legs and ankles from the fluids she is being given and we will just monitor this.
