Recovery Road
Rene continues to show improvement with her knee since she strained it on Monday with her fall. She is not a fan of the "hot" and "cold" treatment; since she is getting results, she puts up with it! As I told her, this what you do in all contact sports with strains because it works. The home nurse that visited yesterday stated this is the proper treatment...I win!
Today will be a big day since she has to visit her oncologist, I get to transfer her from my SUV and that is always fun. The knee strain will slow her a bit today I feel and hopefully we will not have any problems as a result. She is now able to sit up after laying down on the sofa with my aid and she can move herself from one end to the other. This does tire her and it shows that she is getting stronger.
Strong Appetite
She still has "chemo mouth" and it is not stopping her from eating more food. There is no push back about consuming an Ensure protein drink with each meal either. If she continues to eat this way, her muscles should show improvement. She is surprised that she is consuming more food and feels better.
Upbeat Emotions
Being at home has improved her mood overall because she has the cats and dog close to her. The male cat makes sure that get to sit next to her when our dog moves. I think she enjoys having a remote control that allows her to channel surf on demand.

Rene,
I am happy to see that you are improving and I know you have the will to continue to improve. I currently have a skin infection and cannot visit you until this clears up. But I'm rooting for you in this corner.
Love and Prayers continue,
KC
