Patience Required
Today Rene learned from her oncologist that she is doing well and that her white blood counts and platelets are still strong. She will receive shots to keep them that way and if her immune system doesn't tank, she may not need to stay in the hospital as long. Because this has been communicated to her, she will be a "nudge" everyday about her counts! Worst, if her immune system decides it wants to bottom out, she will be very unhappy and I get to deal with it! Time to polish up my body armor just in case!!
Her right big toe nail continues to dangle and she will have to let nature take its course. I am not allowed near it to just remove it so this will occupy her also. What I mean, is that she will be very annoyed and will make life difficult for anyone that tries to touch it or talk her into just removing it! So I can only hope she just bandages it up and nothing happens...it something does happen, it will be my fault because I am a MAN and her HUSBAND.
