French Open
Rene started her day watching the men's final in Paris. For the third year in a row, Nadal has denied Roger Federer the only Gram Slam title missing from his impressive trophy case. She was amazed how Nadal played great tennis and kept Federer from gaining any upper hand. It was clear just how hard it is for someone to win every title on every surface. In the past it was only played on clay and grass, now there are four different surfaces!
New Toy
Yesterday I purchased Rene her own portable DVD player to take into the hospital. This little unit plays DVD, CD, and MP3 discs. I will pull out all the DVD discs today so she can pick which ones to watch. This with her Zune should keep her entertainment needs well addressed. Now if I can just get her to see the brilliance in Monty Python and Mel Brooke movies, I have provided the world with another advocate!

Eug you don't have a chance in hell with the Mel Brooks and Monty Python movies. Rene and I agreed long ago that they have no value what so ever. We miss you guys and hope things are going well. My Mom starts her chemo tomorrow. Love you!! The Dillards!!

I agree, Python is a *guy* thing, much like the 3 stooges... just proves your brains ARE wired differently from ours LOL Rene's going to love her DVD player - yay!
