Nadir Avoidance
I have to admit that I am surprised how well Rene has been with this round of chemo. She has not had any problems so far with nausea, mouth sores, appetite, or being anemic. If her immune system continues to be this strong, she may final have a good stay at a hospital. The cynic in me says, "watch out" because the human body is very fickle!
She is taking longer walks around the floor and is not "winded" by this at all. For the past two nights she has done something she hasn't been able to for nearly four weeks. She is able to lift her legs by herself to get into bed, I think the exercising is paying off. Last night her cravings for dinner were coconut shrimp and a baked potato with the works from Outback; it works for her!

Well it seems you are tolerating this treatment better than before. The drs. seen to have hit upon the right course of transfusions to help your immune system. That great news.
Speaking of immune systems did I tell you that when Melissa went to Cleveland clinic in May the Dr. told her she might be able to stop taking her antirejection meds in a couple of yrs.? They have found that in about 55% of living donor transplants they can stop the meds. and she seems to be in that percentile.
Keep up the good work.

Janice that is great news about Melissa. She will be thrilled with that!
Good morning....talk about habits changing, I slept until 10 a.m. this morning! It took 1-1/2 years to accomplish, then BANG!
Really feel that sleeping that late takes up too much of the day, but I guess I needed it.
Good news on todays report!! Keep it up.
Talk to you soon.
Love, E
Happy to hear that you are doing better in this round of chemo.
Mom sends her love and wants to know how her youngest son is doing.

Is the immediately preceding comment in Portuguese? ... and does it say something about personalized t-shirts?
More importantly, three cheers for easier/better chemo!
