Great Reds, Bad WhitesYesterday we discovered that Rene's white blood counts were lower by over 500 points. The remainder of this week, she will receive daily leukine shots to increase her levels. She will also take antibiotics to protect against infections until her immune system is stronger.
Based on this new development, we still anticipate that she will be admitted next week to receive her final round of chemo cocktails. She is very impatient about this because she so close to being done with her treatments. Just six months ago, she couldn't fathom that she would be able to make it through seven rounds.
Gimme...Chocolate!
In all of this, she decided that I should "surprise" her with something chocolate and it better be Raisinettes! I decided that bringing her Oreo cookies would not be a good thing at the moment. With people more paranoid about food, Raisinettes give you a choice of either milk or dark chocolate types. I played it safe and just got both!

I love raisinettes too. I guess great minds do run in the same channel. I'm so glad you are feeling so good and anxious to get your final treatment over with.
As of today I am planning to return home on 10/23 so I will see you then.
Love,Janice
