I Am Not Surprised
Today was definitely a "yo-yo" day for Rene due to bouts of nausea, chapped lips, and the return of her mouth sores. This made her not completely ready for visitors today and she could not speak with anyone due to her mouth. In all of this , her vital signs are positive and she did not require any transfusions of red and/or white blood cells for the 3rd day in a row. As of today, she has gone back to liquids and soft foods until the sores subside in her mouth.
Braves Baseball
They won again today and this means they are in first place in the NL East and this was great news for her. The Brewers pounding of the NY Mets today was welcomed news and it crashed when the Diamondbacks got pounded by the Astros. She was going for the cycle and it fell short for her. Today it was the state of Texas 2 and Arizona 0 (Suns lost to the Spurs).
Positive Thinking
Rene is looking for Sunday to be better for her to boost her spirits and she stated that this cancer will not beat her! That is the right attitude to have so "Mongo" is happy.

Hi Rene,
Sorry you had a bad day but you know that means it will only get better because it can't get worse. I miss you and have been thinking about you and of course reading Eugene's great messages. Keep on truckin.

Looks like yesterday was the LOW point. Hope this is like mountain climbing, but from the bed. Look forward to talking to you tomorrow and seeing you this next week.
