Controlling The OutcomeAt this point per her oncologist, Rene will determine when she is ready to leave the hospital. Once she does not require assistance to be mobile, she can come home. Once she is strong enough to support her ability to stand and walk, she ready to be at home and speed up her overall recovery. Yesterday afternoon, she was showed signs that she is gaining a little more strength.
Busy Day
Yesterday Rene push herself and did not suffer any setbacks. She got her nursing assistant to get her out walking in advance of her physical therapist coming to work with her. That put her in the "doghouse" since her therapist had a complete routine for her and Rene "fubared" her plans (sounds like something I would do just to annoy the therapist). So now, no can do any exercises with Rene before 9:30AM to ensure that the therapist is in control; they are very territorial!
Forecast For Today
Rene should have an uneventful day of just exercising, taking visitors, and enjoying the fact that John Smoltz won his 200th game last night as the Braves defeated the Mets in a great NL East match! If she is up for it, I will take her for a short walk this evening.
