I Don't Wanna!!!!
Well the "Enabler" struck again by informing Rene that her leukine shots would be given over the weekend also. This news was given at the same time I gave her more pills with her breakfast...Rum Raisin ice cream. Since I was already in the doghouse, I got her scheduled for her outpatient chemo treatment next week...I'm a giver!
I am very encouraged by her behavior and absolute hatred of having to go for shots, transfusions, and additional chemo. She is whining because she wants a break from the whirlwind roller coaster she has been on for nearly a month. She has not given up, instead she is ready to fight about it and she will fight about it.
Chemo Side Effects
- Mouth Sores - special mouth wash from Walgreens for oncology patients
- Bruising - low platelets, this should end soon
- Weight Lost - she is cravings foods like ice cream, Jello, Wendy's, Taco Bell...
- Fluid Retention - her legs and feet are almost normal thanks to her pills!
- Anxiety - for her, sleep location only
She is getting her strength back after getting platelets and blood yesterday. She is not winded from moving around and her legs don't feel like 100lbs weights anymore. I noticed that her voice sounds very strong and the "looks" about her pills and shots were lighting quick this morning. She will get her revenge on me in the future.
