Now that Rene has come home, the next phase of her recovery begins. She will be monitored for the next several days to protect against her immune system from becoming weak from this last batch of chemo treatments. Getting shots in her stomach is such fun...NOT!

Once they validate that her nadir period has past, she will have one more Rituxan treatment and then a final PET scan. The scan will provide the overall success of her treatment. In July, we discovered that all but tumor was gone. Hopefully, we will find out that this last tumor is gone completely, or if it is still there, it is "dead".

She is walking much better now and no longer has the "penguin" waddle. Her ability to get out of chairs is getting better also. Beside getting hair on her head, it is also coming back for both her eyebrows and eyelashes. I believe the eyelashes are important in the makeup phase of her morning!
