"That's More Like It..."

Happy Patient

Since she had to "endure" a hospital dinner on Thursday, I had to make sure her dinner would surpass her expectations. One medium rare filet migon did the trick for her with veggies and a sweet potato ensured I was not in the "doghouse". I got additional "brownie points" for including jumbo shrimp as an appetizer.

Freedom

She received her last bag of chemo in the evening and she was very excited when her nurse reminded her. I told her that she is much stronger for her chemo since she did not have any queasy stomach or fatigue at this point. She looks like a buck private in the Army with the peach fuzz hair on her head at the moment.

She is walking with much more authority around the floor and showing signs of the "old" Rene with her positive attitude. It seems Scrabble is the game of the fifth floor because one of her nurses came to visit her on day off. Yes, they played Scrabble and probably made fun of husbands also.
