Shampoo Fun
The hair on her head is long enough for her pull on it and cause foaming when applying shampoo. It seems Rene continued to use shampoo when she was completely bald out of habit. Now it foams into her new hair instead of just rinsing off when it was nothing but skin. Its the little things that provide her joy these days.
Per her oncologist, she is progressing well and her blood counts are remaining steady with growth. It seems that we don't have to worry about a reversal at this time. Tomorrow when she goes to the doctor, she will find out if she needs to come over the weekend. If she doesn't have to come, she should be past her nadir period.
"O Sol Mio"
Feeding her lately has been a bit of challenge due to her mouth. The soreness is no longer in her throat and she is experiencing less pain when eating. Since I have taken to being creative in the kitchen she is going to string this along.
I made fresh quiche last night using smoked Gouda cheese and she was in heaven. Between the quiche and the fresh pesto pasta with chicken apple sausage, to chose, there will be no liquid diet for her!
