Marzipan & Wurst = Heaven!

Germany Rules

Rene made a special trip yesterday her favorite specialty deli to acquire specific "comfort" foods for the home. She did not have to verbalize this trip because I saw a couple bags of marzipan in the kitchen. I knew that if marzipan existed, wurst must exist also. With Rene, these two items are always linked.

Recovery Status

There is nothing negative to report about Rene's health status now that she is post chemo. The daily shots and weekly count review show steady increases. She gets to have a final office Rituxan chemo infusion on Friday. That P.E.T. scan should occur soon after that and then we will have a clearer picture of her overall health.

Tea & Hats

This weekend she will be attending a women's tea party at her church and it seems that hats and gloves will be worn. She and girlfriend were trying on different hats when I came home yesterday. I heard them and decided that I should not interupt this process.

I have not seen hat boxes since I was a child and my mother had a separate closet just for her various hats for church; dad was allowed to use the closet for three hats only! I have a brief flashback of Southern culture pre-1974! I guess pearls and gloves are not too far off either.

ok, my grandmother was the first of her siblings NOT to be born in Germany, but in the US of A. Anyhow, I should know what wurst is, I can only think of liverwurst. And liverwurst and marzipan together is just "acghchokingcoffingpetue"
